The past six months have been hugely significant for MIG, with the group not only expanding, but becoming a combination of no fewer than six businesses, with the addition of Mobile Interactive Technology (MIT) and Kilrush, completing a roster of expertise that covers everything you can do with mobile and digital interactivity. The group is also continuing its vigorous expansion overseas.
May 2009 saw the launch of MIT and Kilrush, a new operating technology business and a revolutionary mobile publishing platform respectively. These two divisions complete the offering from MIG (for now!), making the group an all-encompassing integrated mobile and digital interactive one-stop-shop, offering mobile billing, mobile messaging, mobile technology and services provision, multi channel digital solutions, mobile internet publishing, experiential design, application development and digital strategy.
The new structure comprises:

Mobile Interactive Technology: The largest supplier of M-commerce, Messaging Solutions and Interactive Platforms servicing the mobile and digital markets globally. It is staffed by industry experts in all facets of mobile technology, as well as our top R&D and engineering brains;

Kilrush: Named after my home town in Ireland, Kilrush is a next generation mobile internet business. It is designed to work at the heart of your digital strategy and to "talk" to all partners in your digital communications framework - from online, to iPhone, to widgets and bespoke applications. It has already started work with ITV to enable daily updates of ITV.com mobile sites, already bearing fruit with corrie.com;

Jigsaw: Jigsaw are a digital agency that works with brands and agencies to create and build world class interactive experiences, across multiple platforms including online, mobile and applications. Their process encompasses creative development, as well as technical delivery and ongoing campaign management. Jigsaw believes the solutions they offer must build loyalty; drive trial and deliver a quantifiable return on investment to their clients. Driving global interactivity, Jigsaw currently works with leading household brands such as Walkers, Tropicana, Nestle, O2 and Budweiser.

4th Screen Advertising: Widely regarded as the leading mobile advertising agency, 4th Screen works closely with brands and mobile publishers to deliver effective and ROI driven mobile advertising campaigns, utilising our proprietary mobile ad serving platform - Mpression and reaches tech savvy smartphone consumers via their new expandable rich media ad format called the iSlide;

New Toy: Designs and delivers interactive experiences for the live space – enabling innovative interaction with brand campaigns, events and venues. New Toy takes an ideas lead approach, using new and emerging technology to deliver experiences that live way beyond the physical interaction into the digital world.
This new structure has seen some new hires and moves within the group (see the rest of this issue of DIG-IT), to see the business run by a group executives with six divisional heads.
The transition to the new group structure has gone smoothly and we have picked up some major clients and projects including ITV, FIVE, Vodafone and more. We have also capitalized o the growing awareness in the UK and overseas of smartphones, applications and the mobile web. These developments, alongside the new structure, have also proved to expanding our international offering. Our integrated strategy is part targeted on high growth markets such as Africa, the Middle East and South Africa, along with the major deals we have already done in Canada and the US.
More specifically, Kilrush will be working in Holland and Ireland, while 4th Screen Advertising is set to announce a new European partnership any day now. . We are also looking at Mpression technology licensing deals in Ireland and the US. Q1 2010 is set to be when our international expansion really takes shape. We have an exciting year ahead! |
