To produce all mobile video content for the BRITs WAP portal on O2 Active with fast turn around times. Live show highlights needed to be edited, encoded and delivered with full approval, in a range of one hour and 12 hour time frames, to ensure timely compelling content delivery around the BRIT Awards. Content to be delivered also had to include exciting and original footage from the red carpet, backstage and the BRITs archive, as well as the live awards show.

The 'content journey' began with themed classic clips developed from researching archived footage from 20 years of the BRIT Awards. To complement this, MIG's production crew went on location to shoot the awards launch party and gather exclusive red carpet interviews. The aim was to produce an original and exciting content suite for the consumer.

  • The live awards ceremony was pre-recorded, encoded and delivered to the WAP site within one hour.
  • MIG produced an exciting selection of BRITs video content, most of it exclusive to mobile. Backstage and red carpet interviews were produced with Oasis, Jamelia, Nelly Furtado and many more major artists to deliver an exclusive, compelling and timely content offering that attracted thousands of users.
  • O2 were extremely pleased with the positive results.
