O2 Wireless Festival

Mobile Interactive Group provided the very latest in mobile interactive experiences for the O2 Wireless Festival, which took place simultaneously in two sites in the UK - London and Leeds. A major focus of the execution was to reward O2 customers.

Mobile Interactive Group provided a range of services including mobile barcode ticketing for access to the blueroom, interactive video exhibits (put yourself in a music video and get it sent to your phone), mobile video and picture message blogging, back stage news and gossip SMS and MMS alerts, bluetooth download points and a WAP site on O2 Active.

results

This years O2 Wireless Festival was a massive success, both for the organisers and O2. Services were well received by the O2 customers who accessed a privileged area called the blueroom; access was controlled by mobile barcode ticketing. Over 20,000 mobile tickets were sent out, the WAP site receive over 30,000 page impressions and 1000's of customers recorded their own personalised music video and played them back on their phones within minutes. All interactive services were delivered simultaneously in London and Leeds, demonstrating Mobile Interactive Group's ability to scale up production for large events.
