Working with the UK mobile operator O2, Mobile Interactive Group set up a massive nationwide campaign to promote a
competition to win free tickets. To enter, members of the public were invited to text a shortcode and, if successful, received a winning code directly to their handset. Winners were able to redeem their code in any O2 store nationwide. The campaign was handled by
Mobile Interactive Group's high throughput gateway and application VoteWinner; the service peaked at 1 million
messages in 1 hour. |
